Responsible AI use
AI is useful for drafting and organizing routine work. People decide what goes out, and sensitive information stays out.
People stay responsible
Leaders and staff decide. AI drafts and organizes; it doesn’t make decisions.
Only what a task needs
Work from approved, shareable information, with placeholders instead of real names.
Accuracy before speed
AI can be confidently wrong, so a named person checks every result.
Personal words stay personal
Condolences, pastoral letters, and care messages are written by people.
Your accounts, your settings
Your organization owns its accounts and checks each plan’s data terms.
Honest results
Time returned is capacity, not cash, and we never invent client results.
What stays out of AI tools
If a task would need any of this, the task stays with a person.
- Counseling and pastoral care notes
- Prayer requests with names, and health information
- Donor, giving, payment, and bank records
- Anything about children, including names and photos
- Personnel, legal, and disciplinary matters
- Passwords, account numbers, and contact lists
- Anything someone shared in confidence
More detail
The review checklist
- Every name, date, weekday, time, place, and cost matches the approved details
- Scripture quotations and references are checked word for word against the translation your church uses
- Quotes, figures, and links are traced to their source, and anything unverified comes out
- Missing details are marked NEEDS INPUT, never guessed
- The named reviewer approves the final version

The member AI answer box
Members can ask practical questions in an AI answer box powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Questions typed there are sent to Anthropic to produce each answer, so the same rule applies: keep donor, counseling, personnel, payment, health, and children’s information out of it. Answers can be wrong, and a person is always available through member questions.
